You do know ireland is far from green? People should be wearing brown today to represent how septic ireland is.

An attitude like that helps absolutely nothing. The weather forecast for today is good, we aren't experiencing what Japan is and you're not 6 foot under the ground so cheer up ta ****.

No I won't do that. Hypocrites the lot of ye taking part in st patricks day activities to celebrate being irish.

I find it weird how people will take to their streets to celebrate st.patricks day and yet there won't be one protest to get bertie ahern and the likes locked up. The real snakes for abusing and exploiting us and selling us to the banks and leading us up sh1ts creek in debt we had nothing to do with.

We have nothing to celebrate. Ye might as well parade around our streets about nazis.

    Bah Humbug!

Patricks Day has become a disgrace. The levels of drinking and scumbaggery are deplorable. Even last night in Dublin it was raucous and intimidating on the streets

Take one good hard look at all those kids today and think about the future they are facing and the country we are leaving them?

They are faced with a future of exploitation, because there is nothing to stop another organisation coming into power and abusing us, especially how the people of this country are all to happy to roll around in the abuse thrown upon us.

Thats exactly it. Today is a day for establishments, hotels, pubs etc to lure people in to spend.

For irish people abroad it may mean something. They got away from torture and severe mismanagement of the country. For us folk here at home in ireland, it means nothing.

Our forefathers fought for and independent ireland to have our very own screw us over.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,659 ✭✭✭Chaotic_Forces

Am I the only one not going out today and sitting in drinking alone? :P

All my friends tend to go out to the world's worst clubs and as such: drinking all day + hordes of people in their teens and 20s = violence. I never liked the idea of going out for the day, I didn't last year and was happy, same this year.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 6,384 ✭✭✭gbee

So for those who have, please think of me thinking of ye, first paddy's Day in living 'drinking' memory that I won't have a pint due to not actually having the money.

You must be a delight to have during Christmas.

"Bah, why are you all buying presents and putting up decorations? Don't you know this is a time of the year were people get drunk and cause trouble?".
