Mediaportal + iPimp = TV Anywhere :)

    Hi,

    Just thought i'd share,

    Currently running Mediaportal + iPimp with a Hauppauge HVR-4000.

    This allows me to:
    Watch telly with a remote on the mediacenter with a full EPG pulled from Skys Background audio radio station :)

    Watch the same on the laptop on Wifi anywhere in the house, just install the mediaportal frontend and point it at your mediaportal server.

    The bit where iPimp comes in is that its a webservice with a back end transcoder, so you can login to the webpage with your iPhone/Android/Windows/Mac OS X etc.

    Click on stream and it will transcode the stream so you can watch it on 3g :)

    Also lets you schedule recordings and remotely control a Mediaportal frontend.
