    Hi there folks,

I am hoping that you guys can give me some help with my query. I bought a 37" HDTV Samsung series 5 LCD TV a few months ago in the U.S. I thought I was going to be staying in the States but as it turns out, I am moving home soon. I looked into selling my TV but I will not get any decent money for it and I love it so I am quite happy to keep it!

I have sky+ at home in Ireland so can I just watch it or do I need a HDTV pal/ntsc converter box? Also, do I need a power converter as well?

I really hope you can give me some help. I need a total run down of what I need to get in order for my TV to work in Ireland.

    Thank you all!!

    Exact model: Samsung LN37A550P3F

I know this is an old post. But I am in the same situation and wondering what your solution ended up being. I'm really hoping there is some software solution and no need to buy an expensive converter. What did you end up doing?

    Hi Jasher,

Unfortunately I ended up leaving my TV in the States. Nobody seemed to be able to help with the answer. I believe that there are ways and means of getting your US tv to work in a PAL region but I simply do not know enough about it all. Sorry I cannot be of more help. I wish you luck in finding your answer. There may be more advice on a U.K. site.
