Wont eat squid, its like rolled up condoms. Mussels don't taste bad but cant handle the look or texture of them. Lamb is vile, pork is tasteless, and roast duck is disgusting:(. And Ferrero Rocher are manky.

Agree with everything you say there - except the Ferrero Rocher :D!

Seafood in general. Because of the taste texture and the chance of getting a bit of scale when you're eating fish.

    Also, pork chops.

Can't believe the amount of people who don't eat fish. You're missing out on some awesome Sushi, not to mention fresh cod from the chipper. :D

    Yoghurt.

And Rockmelon. Think it's called cantelope this side of the world. The smell, taste and texture. Yuck. I once ate it at a party when I was a kid. It was in a fruit salad and I thought it was a piece of orange. Nearly threw up on the spot.

Eggs, beans and mushrooms would be my main 3 dislikes. Eggs smell like a leaking gas pipe that's been farted on, mushrooms taste like a damp eraser, and beans have the foulest texture going. Blergh.

Broccoli -I think it feels like you're eating a little person with the hair on top!

Eggs - The smell is enough to put me off.

Does anyone else get really irritated by fussy eaters, particularly adults? I confess to losing a certain level of respect/interest in a person when they start fussing about food for non dietary reasons in a restaurant or worse in someone elses home.
And people picking bits off their burger, pizza etc, dont get me srarted. To me, it just makes you look like a brat of a child who wasn't disciplined into eating what they were given as a child.
A varied and cultured palate is a sign of refinement and sophistication.
Live a little you dull moanbag.

There are very few food I dislike and even fewer I refuse outright to eat.

    I won't eat;
UHT milk - I seem to have a milk intolerence so if I'm going to put up with coughing and feeling ill I may as well have the nice fresh milk
Salad Cream - the type with artificial thickeners in, it's wlways awful!

I knows what I like and like what i knows.

I have to blend my dinner - just dinner - into a paste, and will eat it clockwise with a spoon. I dont know why. Its a comfort thing I guess. I obviously dont do it in others houses/restaurants hence never fully enjoying a meal.

i dont see the problem with being picky in a restaurant. you are paying for what you get. youre not there under accompliment to anyone.

Thing is, what are "non dietary reasons"? I like most foods -- some just don't like me. If I'm told I'm getting vegetable soup and what arrives is actually lentil and vegetable soup, am I meant to eat it meekly and suffer later in order to exude "refinement and sophistication"?

Good topic for another AH thread perhaps? Also the one below? SIATC sounds like a poster child for the DSM-IV!
