 , when you get your next interview maybe try a different approach. Mightnt work with a HR person but if the boss is interviewing you give him/her a stirring speech about how he wont find someone with a better, more determined attitude then you. That you will do whatever it takes and show him it would be a mistake not to hire you. Win the job there and then as opposed to letting him dictate the decision. Make yourself a 'must hire' person. I've come to believe in the last few years that attitude is the most important thing when Im hiring, because everything else can be trained. Not everyone thinks like that but it might just get you in the door.
