Getting involved

Hi, Is there any good way of meeting people involved in making films/shorts? I enjoy writing and generally doing productive/creative things. so, it would be nice to be involved in something like this as a hobby. Any tips appreciated!

Do a course in Filmbase maybe.

Or attend their short film night - Shortspace.
