I've been re-ripping my entire CD collection to up to bit rate from 192kbit to variable lossless (~1MBit)

And now I'm listening to Linkin Park's 2nd Album again, Reanimation...

They were some damn noobs bad then. I don't mean even musically but who mastered this audio? The Bass even on my very fancy 7.1 headphones breaks up terribly. They didn't really do a good job on it, the only way to get all of it is on a very powerful subwoofer system, and without that you get garbled noise, especially on Forgotten. And then theres the tracks where it feels like more Bass should be present but there isn't. It drives me crazy, in fact



^ Yyyyyep. Thats probably 192 or something. 128 likely. It sounds quite a bit better on variable lossless. But still you get that problem. In fact the only place it doesnt happen is played directly off the CD. Crazy.
