A bruise? If a bruise keeps Nani out of training or a match he is an even bigger pussy than i thought.

lol. It's not the bruise that's the problem, it's the swelling that comes along with it.

You see it with pros all the time, the slightest hint of an injury and they're off the pitch or out of training.

besides which a bruised shin is fcuking incredibly painful all round tbh

I feel dirty for agreeing with Eamonn Dunphy :(

Thats the one thing Kenny has that Hodgson didnt have, he will never be bullied by any other manager.

I really cant see it keeping him out, not when United are pushing to win the title.

I can guarantee he will be playing in Uniteds next game, he got a small cut on his shin

    Did you see the pictures?
    The gash was bone deep.
There's quite a bit of muscle over the shin so anything that cuts right through that, not to mention the width of the wound will have to be stitched up and given time to heal. I'd be surprised to see him before April.

Did you see the clear picture that shows a small gash or the dark one that makes it look like his whole leg is shattered?

I think you have seen the pic that most people now agree is a fake

I can actually remember Ferguson demanding that Hodgson play Konchesky and Poulsen.

Remember him screaming at Hodgson to bring on Ngog and Jovanovic? :pac:

No, wait, it's just Dunphy sprouting his usual nonsence...ha bullied by another manager that's a good one.

No one from United speaking to the press. At least fu*king come out and say you were beaten by the better team. Show some dignity.

Also there's a lot of discussion on this thread about Carragher's tackle on Nani and not much on Rafael's tackle on Lucas. If Lucas hadn't been able to jump out of the way he would have ended up in a lot worse state than Nani. How did Rafael manage to stay on the pitch??? A two-footed tackle is a red all day long in my book.

The Carragher tackle is all they've got to go on from that match

A 2 footed lunge is a red, coupled with the fact that he was off the ground made it even more bizarre that Rafael didnt get sent off.

I think you are looking at the faked pic.

But RTE just said that club issued a statement that the cut is down to the bone. Just want to point out, that means very little in that area of the leg. The shin is right at the surface.

The injury was at the top of the shin, which has a thick layer of muscle.
Cutting that to the bone is serious, look at your own leg for reference.
I took the image at face value, but I'd also question concensus of it being fake based solely on people's opinions in this forum.

It was deemed fake from the other pics doing the rounds.

can't believe I got so many replies after saying that United are gonna spend £500m this Summer. Liverpool fans are too easy.

Until the next match thread, peace out.

Yeah, its horrific. His leg has nearly been cut in half, the poor guy. Reckon he'll have to have it amputated.

It wasn't at the top of the shin it was in the middle. The top of the shin does not have any covering of muscle.

Yeah I think you're right that there isn't a consensus about whether the bad pic is a fake. But the two pictures are completely different. One of them is faked.
