    Here's the reality check - we've gone through a ****ty couple of years but we're on the up.

    United are weakening year in year out, but have still managed to keep ahead of the other weakening club. Ferdinand, Scholes and Giggs are all showing signs of serious decline. Rooney is a shadow of himself. Some of the younger players are patently not good enough. You have an absolutely horrendous amount of debt hanging over you which inhibits the club in many ways. You don't have the financial power that you once had, you wont be able to adequately replace those players who are in decline. Your manager is worryingly erratic.

    United are in a better position for the short term. In three (possibly two) to five years we'll be back on top.

    Yet, we're still top of the league and in all the big competitions.

    We've quite alot of quality youngsters coming through fwiw. Outside of Martin Kelly who have you got?

    A debt riddled side still achieving more must be an awful feeling?

    Considering Liverpool have only been debt free a number of months, thats a fairly daft argument

    I think the picture earlier of Nani's leg was doctored. At least I hope it was.

    Either way, it was a nasty one & from this photo, you can clearly see that Carragher & Moreles both look genuinely concerned.

    article-1363502-0D7E948D000005DC-420_634x491.jpg

    Hopefully it's not as bad as it looks. I'm sure no-one would wish any real harm on the lad, even though at the best of times he is an annoying little so & so.

    I think its a genuine image, just looks worse when its magnified. Carragher should have gone, no question, idiot challenge imo. If nani wasnt such a prima donna running to the ref, then collapsing, he would probably get more sympathy.

    Its a clear case today of the ref trying to keep it 11 v 11, there were easily 6 or 7 more bookings and rafael should have gone etc.

    Here is picture of Nani's Injury that I have found. Still think Carragher should have gone though.

    Looks nothing like the other picture here which I now think is fake.

    Either way don't know why Utd are harping on about it as they were already a beaten team at that stage!

    Yes when Keane ended halands career

    Ah now, you're either deliberately lying to make a point, or else you don't know much about football.

    Keane's tackle on Haaland was awful, but it didn't end his career. I even recall Lloyd himself debunking that myth a while ago.

    After watching that game, all I have to say is how lucky Man U are that their nearest rivals for the title this season are chronic fcuk ups.

    Jack Robinson, Raheem Sterling, Andre Wisdom, Suso, Conor Coady, John Flanagan and a few others. We're producing better youth players since Borell and Segura arrived from Barca.

    Yes when Keane ended halands career

    Again I ask whats the point in mentioning this? Why bring the past up? How far are we allowed to go back? Newton Heath times? Liverpool glory days? 5 seasons ago? yesterday? I've said already two, three or umteen wrongs don't make a right. Going back ten or fifteen years makes no sense.

    Again I'll ask one more time... how many bad tackles does a United player have to take to shake off the lunatic Roy Keanes horrible challenge and attitude to Haaland?

    Most of ours are so good they only go by one name these days - Suso, Raheem etc.

    Yes when Keane ended halands career

    That tackle didn't end his career and if you had any small bit of football knowledge, you'd know it was his other knee that forced him to retire. But at leat you tried, better luck next time

    This may sound stupid, I haven't played football since I was twelve, but i always remember my shinguards covering that part of my leg that Nani's gash is in.

    Where were his ?

    It looks exactly like the other image. The cut is the same shape, it's just that the close-up is more graphic.

    I don't agree with all of this, but I am certainly feeling the spirit of it. Back at the start of last October when we were playing poorly and had the real prospect of administration hanging over our heads I would have snapped anyone's hand off for our present situation:

    - financially stable with ambitious, capable owners;
    - a media saavy legend as manager who gets what the club is about;
    - playing attractive football with confidence;
    - performing in high profile ties against the likes of Chelsea and Utd;

    Things are good and getting better.

    Definitely does not look as gruesome as the other picture........bit of a nasty cut but one he should get over fairly easily.

    Ah, we have it now.

    It was the shinpad's fault.

    Despite all of this though, Utd have an amazing winning mentality, driven by Fergie. IMO, they have grossly over achieved over the last number of years, with an average squad proped up by one or two outstanding individuals. A few more shrewd buys from Fergie and they'll continue to challenge as long as that mentality which is inbred in the club is maintained

    Just a general comment.

    I think most Utd fans are accepting that we were ****e, Liverpool were the better team and deserved their win.

    Alot of Pool fans are making a show of themselves by revelling in Nani's injury and making Carragher out to be some sort of saint for what he did.

    Embarresing stuff, gives Liverpools fans a bad name in general.

    Tell you what, go and count the number of people who have revelled in Nani's injury on this thread.

    And we have Pogba, Morrisson, Welbeck, Rafael, Fabio amongst others aswell. These lads will be players for the future. There are plenty others too. Josh King etc.

    See, I love the writing off of United I really do. the debt, the lack of signings blah, blah blah. I'd prefer us to develop these guys than spunk 30 million on Berbatov. If it takes years for these lads to come through then so be it.

    It probably shouldnt have been you are right. I think somone made a comment about cheering on Smiths injury in the crowd when your man said he was delighted with Nani's injury

    In an ideal world you'd want United to be able to use their massive earning potential to rival Barca and Madrid as a destination for the worlds top players.
