How to change front indicator bulb - Audi A4

Does anyone know how to change the front driver side indicator bulb on my Audi A4 2000?

Do I need to take out the front lamp? Or can I remove, what looks like to be an air vent from the front grill to the side, and get in at it that way?

    Any help is much appreciated.

    Thanks

Thanks for that...but...how do I do that??

There are 2 T25 screws at the top, which I can easily take out...but after then it's jammed, there must be a screw behind, but it's impossible to see...

    any ideas?

There are 2 more t25's at the bottom rear of the headlamp unit, you'll need an extention to open them but you don't have to completely remove them.

I'd be a complete novice...what type of extention do you mean? Also, the air vent seems to be in the way, do I need to move this somehow?

Not many novices know what T25(torx) screws are!:P

The plasit intake pipe just pulls off, its not held in place by anything. The extension would just be a socket/bit extension so you could reach down to the lower screws.

The intake does have a hole that a socket extension could fix through - I took mine off though. There were 2 screws holding the intake to the front of the car (2002 tdi).

As the lads mentioned - there are 2 screws down the back of the headlight that only have to be partially opened - and the headlight slides out.

Thanks voxpop and nissan doctor.... i couldn't see the 2 screws at the back of the lamp...however, the good news was that i just pulled up and out the intake vent which was easy enough...and i was able to wriggle my hand in to get the light changed.

It would have been easier if i could find the 2 screws at the back...but this way got it done in the end.

    thanks all
