TBH, as soon as Nani stopped running and actually put pressure on hs leg he started wincing. Could be seriously hurt.

    this...makes no sense...

A lot more pressure is put on the leg while running. If pressure caused it to be sore, as soon as he started running he'd have pulled up and sat down. Thats not what happened, he bounded around the place complaining, and then when Gerrard put out a hand, he went down theatrically as if he had been pushed, trying to get Gerrard in trouble.

He might well be injured, it was a shocking tackle, but from watching it several times, it really looks like what he was doing out there was pure theatre.

Someone said Nani is everything that's wrong with football.

I think the fact that something like actually warrants thought, never mind posting, is what's wrong with football. And I'm not having a go at you. Too many professional footballers are a total joke.

Just out of interest would you not think tackles like Carraghers [and Rafaels] are an example of whats wrong with modern football? You could easily be looking at two broken legs there.

You could and imo they should both have been red. They are not the norm though. Simulation is. Refs have nothing to go on when not sure as players constantly play act and exaggerate. Nani goes down like that about 10 times a game. When he is actually caught the ref just assumes it was one of those usual Nani performances.

people after seeing that tackle saying Nani is faking injury

face it that was a scumbag tackle and could have broken Nani's leg, was worse than Shawcross on Ramsey and as bad as that Birmingham bloke on Eduardo.

No, quite simply its not worse than Shawcross' or the same as Martin Taylor's.

Nani was standing up for less than a second, at least watch it before you come in here talking about it, it had nothing to do with Gerrard.

+1 and just before that Carragher made nothing of being charged by Rooney after his header. It's shocking to be praising people for not pretending to be badly injured though.

TBH it wasn't a question of Van Der Sars character...with the game obviously so full of tension that could have easily turned into another flash point and it was refreshing to see him just get up and get on with the game.

I agree 100% the prick acting on the ground is shocking and should be stamped out as much as possible.

But so should those type of tackles tbh; they're possible career enders.

I don't think you can say one is worse than the other.

Ya but I heard nothing but sympathy for Shawcross and the guy who broke Eduardo's leg afterwards.

Possibly not, but imo, one makes it nigh on impossible for refs to properly deal with the other. Stamp out one and the other become much easier to sort out.

it was a nothing because he missed :)

    Really.

    You play for Man United.
You should be aware of your responsibility.

sadly, its not only Nani that lets the club down.

(and I dont care about Liverpool before you start with the biased stuff)

I can see a goal coming for United now.

Oooh was that it?! Not given anyway

[edit] Nope, well blocked by Meireles on the line. Still think United will score the first now
