What's a 2 year service? Standard oil change plus coolant, brake fluid, air/pollen filter?

Did you try the SEAT dealer?

Cheapest price I got for the correct service for my Citroen was from a Citroen dealer!

Hi , I use newcastle motors in wicklow, they're not the cheapest ever but they are very customer focused and very friendly guys. you won't be robbed.

Yeah rang a few of them, the cheapest I could get was 280 quid, seems a bit steep as I've looked on web for all the parts I'd need and it comes to bout 100 quid...

Try a Skoda dealer. Had my Leon serviced at one last time and their labour rate was MUCH lower...

I got a bacic service on my tsi leon last week in a seat dealer(pat white) for €150 that was oil, washer fluid, all filters and everything was checked, tyre dept rotation, lights, breaks were "cleaned" and said to be ok,

I think the full works of a service is €289

I have done services on cars befor myself just didn't have the time in this case, i normally get the parts from southside motorfactors have never had a problem, just as an aside as it's a turbo the spark plugs will be more expensive than the standard plugs but was told they last about 60,000K twice the normal

That service you got, did it include an air filter and was that 150 quid including vat. I got a basic service with them last year and they charged me 210 quid.... No air filter but everything else that they did for you.

ust checked the sheet the air filter wasn't done must find out why!!

yeh it was €150 in total!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 744 ✭✭✭epopnomis

Think the air filter only needs to be change out after 30,000 kms, maybe more, if you have a look in your service booklet it should be in there. Might give Pat a ring see if he can sort out a 150 special for me.

    Thanks

If ya feel like taking a trip and getting the service, I recommend Jack Quinn in Castlecomer. Main SEAT dealer there. Very reasonable prices. I bought a new Leon in 07 there and he's done all the servicing since. Haven't found anyone cheaper yet. Not even a Skoda garage.

Any more recommendations for Seat servicing in the Dublin area?

(I need new tyres too, so will probably get that done at the same time.)

Source the tyres yourself. You'll pay more for them through a dealer.

I got my Leon Done at pat white car on the long mile road. A full service will prob set you back €250 it has fully trained seat technicians.

I would source the tyres yourself like EPM Said.

The service your leon requires depends on the milage as much as the year.

What do you mean by "source the tyres yourself"?
I still need somewhere to sell & fit the tyres...
