Winter sport insurance; can I buy a 1 day extension

    I am due to go on a business trip and have full travel insurance cover for the trip. However, I plan to extend the trip into a weekend and do 1 days skiing. My business travel insurance doesn't cover winter sports. What's the best way for me to extend the cover for that one day. Can you buy insurance for one day of skiing?

    If you are skiing in France, you can buy your ski insurance with your lift pass. It's only a couple of euro per day. If not, check out carre neige, which is the same insurance, but I think it works in different countries.

    As far as I know, if you have regular Irish ski insurance, even if you only plan to spend ten minutes on a green run, you have to take the full ski cover for all the time you are away, which usually doubles the cost.

    I just did a quick google, and some of the big insurers will give you single day ski insurance, for an average of a tenner.

    This company will cover for one day, ~€15.
