    hi,
we went to a flower shop in kells co. meath and got an amazing deal on all of our flowers...and we even used the word 'wedding' when explaining what we want!!
we got the bride's bouquet, 4 bridesmaids' bouquets, 7 buttonholes for the men, 2 corsages for the mothers and then flowers that we picked out for all the tables at the wedding reception and ribbons for the church and cars for under €300!!

i thought this was a great deal as most florists we had been to before were charging €600 for much less than this!!

Hi can you pm me the name and contact number for this shop. Thanks

Hi everyone. My first post here and I am amazed by the great offers you got on flowers.

I have asked around about babysbreath bouquet. babysbreathrealsimple.jpg

I think they are really simple and pretty but the price I was quoted for the bridal bouquet alone was €80. Does this seem a bit much for something so simple or is it reasonable? Its the first quote I have gotten so not too sure what to expect.

    Thanks

Dont know much about flowers myself, but that seems ridiculous. I read a post on here somewhere recently where people bought the babys breath flowers in the supermarket for a few € and made it themselves.

I'd like a PM too, if they're still going?
    Thanks!

I thought so. I have seen them in places before and was speaking to my mum who has said that as the wedding is not til next summer she will grow some in her garden for me and do them up as they bloom in July/ aug.

Think that will be a great touch. Thanks a million.

Hi Rurz23 - I'm new to boards.ie and don't know how to PM someone so hopefully you'll get this message!

I am getting married in July and struggling to find a florist to suit our budget.

Can you give me the name of that florist you went to in Kells please?

Many thanks - mod edit, please PM rather than email directly.

Can anyone recommend a florist that operates on a budget? I am getting married in December and dont want to spend hundreds on flowers and also dont want to be made to feel cheap by a florist looking for over a hundred euro per bouquet. Thanks a mill!

Hi Nikki, I'm so sorry but in based Dublin I normally do the surrounding counties but Galway would be a bit far. Unless you had someone travelling down the day of the wedding. Lesley
