What in the name of Jesus is going on in my attic?

For the past I have been hearing what sounds like someone walking around and scraping up there.. When I pop my head up there is nothing there. This is starting to get freaky, the wife is afraid to use the bathroom as there is a trap door in there.. Any ideas?

I'm not surprised, put a toilet in there instead. She is probably more accustomed to using them.
