Sandymount was invaded by Rugger Bugger 'Yaw Roysh' heads along with blonde 'Loyke Oh Moy Gawd' Yummy Drummies. All parading around in their Sweet 16 4 x 4 jeeps with Eoghan Murphy signs plastered all over them.

Now I love rugby and support the Leinster team, shame about the fans though...;)

For breakfast, I had coffee and doughnuts. I skipped lunch so will probably have a nice carbonara this evening.

haha, yeah, shame about idiots being Leinster fans alright...........

You know Eoighn Murphy has worked in international arms control and is involved in nuclear weapon disarmament and a lot of his supporters are equally highly successfull business people also in various fields.

It's a shame there's petty begrudgers out there who see a young popular candidate who's highly sucessful and it makes them feel like they're a bit of a failure in life that probably someone younger has so much more support and is more successful, so to make themselves feel better they convince themselves that they must all be 16 and daddy must pay for these things, because they can't face the reality that they envy these people quite a lot, and it's easy to retreat to Ross O'Carroll Kelly stereo-types, as it's so tough for many people to deal with the fact that there are far more intelligent, capable, successfull, popular and significant people than them out there.

Literally without knowing any of these people, you saw young successfull candidates, and went green with envy and felt so bad about your own existence, you even looked for confirmation on the internet. Nice life.

Express your inferiority complex at the ballot box. ;)

I heard this guy murphy on newstalk the other morning making a pleb of himself, first of all saying it was untrue that FG had advised FG voters to vote Sommerville no. 3, then when he was pointed out the truth he acted like a spoilt child, quiet funny really, god help us if he gets into Dail Eireann if he cant make it through radio interviews without throwing his toys out of the pram he's no place in national politics.

It's his hangers on that made me laugh more than himself. It's been like a three week episode of the Hills transferred to D4...:D

What has the game of rugby got to do with this election?

    Am I missing something?

More a social commentary on some of those who attend Leinster matches rather than the game itself...

This statement makes more sense when applied to those who actively conform to stereotypes rather than those that notice that others do.

He's ran very much a style over substance campaign - plus all his groupies with the yellow t-shirts and caps looked a bit pathetic tbh.

Still, it looks he will take a seat unfortunately.

He certainly does sound like a pompous D4 prick, well at least in the video on his website:

Yes but my point is that it's lazy to immediately categorise people based upon tenuous illustrations such as accent or appearance. Just because characteristics pertain to a stereotype doesn't necessarily mean they are willful representatives of what they are referencing.

Murph is a walking, talking silver spoon, D4 cliché and his hangers on in their 4 x 4's only serve to re-inforce it...

Yeah, he's pretty much nailed on for the third seat I'd say. "Portay in Krystle anyone..." :D

Well given that his agenda was probably getting himself and his canvassers noticed as opposed to gracing the pages of Vogue then I doubt he's overly concerned. Plus, by virtue of the fact that you're even talking about it here indicates an element of success on his behalf.

Hard to believe a political campaign would use 4 x 4s - craziness, are they carrying about ladders and election posters or something!?
