Hdmi cable cut rejoin?

Basically i want to feed a hdmi signal through a block wall to a tv in an adjoining room, i intend to sever a hdmi cable and push it through a small hole and then reconnect the inner cores, only if it is possible to solder them successfully without rendering the cable useless of course.
I could just drill a large enough hole for the hdmi plug but it would be big and unsightly i think.
Hope someone knows if this would be possible.

If you can solder, yes it is. The "high performance" part of HDMI is similar spec to Shielded Cat5e.

I used a 7 Euro Argos 0.75m cable to go about 8m by cutting it in half and putting 2 x STP (Shielded Cat5e) inbetween. I could have used a €2 "euro store" cable, but I wasn't in town.

Can i not just re-join the cut cable?
If not then will this do?

If your HDMI cable is long enough you can indeed carefully cut and re-join.

I've no idea if your catalogue number is for cheaper unshielded (meant only for trays, racks, ducts) or shielded (higher performance and meant for suspended cieling, plastic clip on trunking or even running on edge of skirting without trunking).
