just a bit of a news buff really. did the nbc one in nyc a few years ago and this looked like a good way to pass a few hours on the monday

[FONT=arial, helvetica]Visitors begin the tour by tracing CNN's growth as it parallels world events from the past 20 years. The next stop reveals the inner workings of CNN at a one-of-a-kind re-creation of CNN's main control room. After seeing and hearing the behind-the-scenes elements of the network live, guests will step into the special effects studio to learn the tricks of the trade including the "Blue Chromakey" and the TelePrompTer.

As the tour progresses, fans will travel through the newsrooms of CNN and Headline News on the way to the anchors' desk where the news is delivered live. The tour concludes with a special presentation showcasing the networks that make up the rest of the Turner Broadcasting family.

    The V.I.P. Tour
A must for the true CNN fan, the V.I.P. Tour takes guests on a rare look at studio production areas not available to other guests. Audience members will walk onto several newsroom floors for an exclusive, up-close look at the news. The limited size of these tours -- just 10 guests -- allows the tour to be more personalized.

Was lookin at taking the "Stone Mountain, Buckhead & Downtown (THE WORKS!)" tour with Air Atlanta Helicopters.
Its only $170.00 PP and they bring you around the city and Stone mountain for 35-40 mins.

Sounds awesome but this trip has seen enough of me paying crazy money for things. I'll do the cheap stuff & then it's Miami saving time.

Has anyone bought their tix to the aquarium or coke factory yet? I'd like to do the VIP coke tour, but you can only buy those tix at the door.

I tried e-mailing them to see how often those tours sell out but they haven't got back at all, going to do it the monday I think

The Atlanta area's tourist facilities will be choc-a-bloc on the Monday - if you think about it, its the first and only point during the extended weekend that folk will have a window of opportunity to do non-wrestling stuff!

Just a quick question, has anyone booked the CNN tour yet?

I want to book online from the CNN website and it takes me to Museumtix.com (part of ticketmaster apparently), did you use this to book your tickets? Would you chooser the vip tour over the normal tour?

Also there is an option to book the coca cola and CNN tour as a package, so it seems it is possible to pre-book the coca cola tour.

    Thanks guys

My tentative plan is CNN on the 30th, Coke factory on the Friday-hopefully VIP as it isn't that expensive, Six Flags on Monday & the one I'm looking forward to- the aquarium on Tuesday, my one free day in Hotlanta.
