How to get (stuck on) mirror off wall?

I bought some mirrors a while back and (foolishly) stuck them to a wall with those adhesive mirror sticker things (sorry, not sure what they're called).

Anyone any idea how to get these mirrors off the wall now that I'm re-doing that room? There are 6 of them and they are approximately the size of a large tile...I've tried to prize them off the wall but they aren't budging. There is a slight gap between the wall and each mirror and I was thinking of trying to put water in there to loosen the adhesive pads:confused:

Any help from any of you diy'ers who might have done this before?

    Thanks alot.

You might have better results with a length of wire (wear gloves!), although I've never tried that myself - I think the water won't work and you'll just end up with wet walls and floor.

Not a bad idea thanks - might try a coathanger.

I don't care if the mirrors break tbh...just want them off the wall - no success stories so?

A flat bladed wallpaper scraper. Thats if the adhesive pads are in each corner. Just push the thin blade through the adhesive pad.

.... or a hacksaw blade (removed from the hacksaw)... or a long bread knife. Either of those are thin enough and will reach far enough in behind the mirror to saw through or loosen the sticky things.

Sharp hacksaw blade will do the job. Careful of scratching the wall tho....

    Hey,

I stuck a mirror from Ikea onto my wall that's wallpapered. It's a rented apartment and I have to move out soon. Any tips for getting the mirror off the wall without ruining the wallpaper (otherwise I won't get my deposit back) ???

    Thanks :):)
