Tesco Christmas Club 6% return

    Lots of leaflets in Tesco advertising this.

    Basically, you can save any amount each time you shop (max €360) and Tesco will give it back to you in vouchers next Christmas.

    If you save €100 - €300 they will add €6 to it. If you save €100 you get €6 or 6%.

    6% - best saving rate around.

    Couple of points.
    If it's a full year, 6% is good apart from the fact you have to use them all in Tesco or use them as Clubcard vouchers.
    If it's less than a full year, it would be a higher rate e.g. save in June and get 6% in December is then 12% return approx.

    Also its a pity the vouchers can't be used with Tesco Deals. That would have been nice. Well, they say Clubcard rewards, I assume its the same thing.

    ou can top-up up to €360 per year. Clubcard points are not collected on cash top-ups. Top-up and bonus vouchers cannot be exchanged for Clubcard rewards. Maximum bonus voucher value is €6.

    I don't see anything wrong with the small print - straight forward enough.

    Reading the t&c's
    So would it be fair to say you could join this scheme in October with €100.01 and get €106.01 Tesco vouchers in November?

    Bump.
    Has anyone signed up for this?

    I'm considering signing up and sticking €100 into it in early November and hopefully Tesco will have more 'double clubcard voucher' exchange deals in the near future. If not I get an extra €6 to spend.

    Have done it myself as I started the thread.

    Absolutely no catches. 6% return.

    I was wondering why it was so popular. Plenty of people putting the odd €10 on it weekly. I would miss the clubcard vouchers every 3 months though, I'd def start it next Feb. ( No point saying Jan, ill be too broke!)
