2600 IRCD

    Hey guys,

    Can anyone connect to the 2600 IRCD? No matter if I connect via my system, or shell - it states that an open proxy exists on my host (Although I'm certain none does)

    Is this a configuration error? Could someone try to connect to irc.2600.com and confirm if they get the same error? Thanks :)

    Mine is working fine. Though I have been connected for several hours, which may be different. Do you want me to disconnect?

    Aye, try disconnect and reconnect. I've tried from my system, and 2 shells now - Same error on all of them.

    I am connecting via a VPN, but I disconnected twice, and reconnected without problems.

    Still not working for me - Couldn't be my system as I've tried 3 different hosts now. Keep getting the following error:
    [01:36] -pugwash.2600.net- *** Banned Open Proxy found on your host. Please visit www.blitzed.org/proxy?ip=********* for more information. (2011/2/9 08.21)

    From that error when they scanned your IP an open proxy was found so they banned you.

    Same for me, presume you have the same ISP as me (eircom), either their scanning methods are greatly flawed, (tried to connect via clean install of android handset) or they have IP's blacklisted, so when you get a new ip from your ISP, it may have already been blacklisted if one of the previous users of that ISP was riddled with malware.

    I understand what the error means, but I don't have a proxy on my system. And why would it give the same error from 2 other shell accounts?

    I have one of the guys looking into it - he said there have been a few reports of the same error.

    Assuming you were logging on from Redbrick, it's no longer blacklisted.

    i just tried here connecting to pugwash.2600.net and it worked fine
