    New Bright Eyes! \o/ :D

Only ten tracks but hopefully they're spectacular. Going to have a first listen now.

Nice and simple album cover -

'Shell Games' is an early contender for Song of the Year. A very early contender mind you.

One of those artists I've pretty much given up on. Been a long time since his last coherent collection of songs.

Huuuuge call given the quality of some his albums. For me 'Fevers & Mirrors' is the best followed by 'I'm Wide Awake It's Morning'.

jesus dude, digital ash is streets ahead of them. Cassadaga vastly under rated. Both huge moves away from the lovelorn angster imo.

I love this album, think lyrically and musically it's the best i've heard from him. Whether it has the longevity or i'm taken over by it too much is yet to be seen.

First track is just ****ing weird though. Like really weird.

Sure the last 5 Bright Eyes albums are all great. His other stuff is a bit less great

Where would you describe it as fitting in his overall body of work?

Oxegen, confirmed on his site. There's a euro tour up, might be worth travelling to one of his shows

Liked this a lot, have to say though , I really wished he'd done more stuff like commander venus and desaparecidos loved those records a hell of a lot.

Lifted or The Story Is in the Soil, Keep Your Ear to the Ground is an all time favorite of mine, as is the later song "At the Bottom of Everything"

Connor ............ rediscover your teenage angst !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D

Have booked my tickets, £17.50 a piece, not bad value - and i have had my eye on that venue for a while,

Standing was sold out, so i ended up choosing seats at the front of level 3,

I presume you have been? How did you get on?

Am really looking forward to it alread, I am loving this album so much.
