Winflp OS - any experiences

    Ok, long story but i have just gotten back an old IBM X22 Piii laptop..
    I was deciding what what OS to put on it and think I would like to try Winflp...
    Looks like a sweet OS...

    Has anybody any experience putting this OS onto a laptop, especially without a Cd drive ???

    you'll either need an external CD drive, or look into making bootable usb drives from ISO images. There's always linux for netbooks!

    It's only available for Volume License customers, which means that probably comparatively few people have played with it. There seem to be a few discussions involving people installing it on EeePCs around, so probably worth looking them up if you're after advice.

    Just not a linux person at all..... yeah making a bootable usb at min...

    there is a few alright, was just curious if anyone here had installed it and how they got on with it

    There's always ReactOS which purports to be compatible with Windows XP programs and drivers. It's not ready for everyday use yet though. :(
