I'm gonna ask some serious questions, a change for me..

    1. How does your brother feel about you effectively parodying him?
    2. Have the BCC received many complaints about you, particularly your homophobic sketches?
    What homophobic sketches?

Do you have to keep your nose in a special solution at night, or is it okay to leave on the bedside locker?

    What homophobic sketches?

How he can get away with this, and Vincent Brown gets a complaint from the BCC for using a colloquialism is beyond me..

Satirizing the views of the ignorant can hardly be called homophobia, i would say it's the opposite?

    I've some questions...

    1. Was it a challenge to get RTE to commission the series?

    2. What are your favourite sketches from the show?

How he can get away with this, and Vincent Brown gets a complaint from the BCC for using a colloquialism is beyond me..

Because one is a satirical tv programme which forewarns about adult content, whereas the other is a political debate programme.

    My question:

Who is your favorite character to play/parody in the show and why?

In the NI sitcom what does the nationalist guy say as his catchphrase? ( Cant understand him)

Does this thread, and others, give you ideas for a potential episode on Irish begrudgery, or would such an episode be like shooting fish in a barrel ?

Have you had any quiet words, or complaints, from targets of your shows such as government press officers or interest groups ?

    What homophobic sketches?

Exactly, satire is a little too subtle for some people.

are you serious? same reason alan partridge gets away with being sexist but richard keys and andy gray don't.

    I've a really good question!

Seeing as next week is the last episode of The Savage Eye, will there be a third series?

Stick it in a pan. I wonder why he has a long arm? I must be missing that joke:confused:

About eight years ago, on a warm sunny day in Temple Bar I witnessed you screaming abuse at some foreign students who were slagging you off during your "act".

When their chaperone stepped in to try calm the situation down you went nose to nose with her and screamed curse words into her face.

    Why would you do that?

What other TV shows starring comedians, past or present, do you enjoy?

    Hey,
    love the show.

Just wanted to ask a couple of questions?

    1. First of all I'm curious as to when you discovered that this is what you
belonged in, when it sort of clicked for you creatively, was it a gradual realisation
through casual life experiences or a resolute descision from the start to go travelling and
busking and work your way up through comedy?

    2. Did you ever consider using comedy writing in a different median given that you deal in satire
and of all the recent events that have happened in our culture and that has been leading up to
it for years, have you considered doing something like The Saipan satircal opera or Jerry Springer:
The Opera except much larger and based on our Irish society?

    3. Do you ever see yourself writing a comedy drama or sitcom for Irish or English television like some
of our other Irish comedy writers and would it be more in the traditional sense of a sitcom like The I.T crowd
and Father Ted or would it be a more comedy/documentary like the office or something else, something surreal
      like the mighty Boosh?

Thanks again and to you and John Colleary, Sonya Kelly, Patrick McDonnell
Dermot McMorrow, Gerard McSorley, Marion O'Dwyer, Kieran J Walshe and to everyone else who takes
part in creating a very original satirical show.

Do you plan to make any more television programs?

Northern Catholic - one arm longer than the other in the view of their esteemed fellow countrymen.

Next question: Are there any taboos you won't consider breaking?

Did Joe request you change the name to John (aka did he be do be doing that?)

What makes you think you deserve anymore publicity..havnt Fianna Fail connections got you your own show?

    Edit..who wrote this shiite?

Is this thread an ad for the "commentary and performances" of McSavage?

Beats using your connections to get into politics like the O'Cuivs, the O'Rourke/Lenihans, the Coughlans, etc. etc.

Good theme for another show - why are the Irish so down on anyone who does anything in this country?

Who are his favorite comedians? And what famous comedians from the past does he borrow material from?

Are there any characters about to be dropped because they've gone past their best bits?

E.g., Ireland's president for life, or Joe Duffy?

    What happens now?

The single complaint against Vincent Brown wasn't upheld.

Question: Considering how your show seems to have won over quite a few people who wouldn't count themselves as your fans do you feel you're more suited to television comedy than live performing?

    1. I once attended a gig of yours that consisted of you abusing a female member of the audience for 40 minutes. Can I have my money back please?

    2. Whose idea was it to rip off the University Challenge sketch from Not the Nine O'Clock News?

    3. Have you ever considered a career in comedy?
