It's not a phenomenon, it's just you noticing 11:11 more than others because it's a pattern and you've attached the meaning of 'phenomenon' to it. I'd wager you've conditioned yourself to look at the clock at 11:11 and go 'omg it's 11:11' when you see it, which conditions you to react around the same time every day (body clock), and it just ends up in a vicious cycle.

Really don't get why people think this is a 'phenomenon' at all..

I notice 13:37 more often

no significance or "phenomenon" about it though

My daughter always tells me to make a wish when I see 11.11. I do but nothing ever happens. Also been told the number 8 has some power too.
It's hard to know really but some people believe in it

That's a good argument if your only seeing 11:11 on a clock
Doesn't explain seeing it on documents, cars, emails received at that time etc.
My story that I find strange; a person I used to work with walked past my current job so I assumed he was coming on for a treatment, when I checked his referral letter it had been scanned into our system at 11:11 and turned out he had cancelled his appointment that morning, as in he was at home sick in bed but me seeing him prompted me to check his referral letter. This action led me to 11:11

It applies to everything, once you're used to recognizing the number as significant to you by default you notice it more, it's just how our brains work. I challenge you to bring a notepad with you and write down what's on the clock every single time you look at it, numbers you see everywhere, etc-- 11:11 won't seem so significant anymore once you realize that the significance is purely projection on your part with a smidgin of coincidence thrown in for the craic.

Time, and our system of recording it started from an arbitrary point, ergo there is no coincidences or phenomena.

I always notice when the clock says 19:16, but that is not helped by the fact usually my son is dressed for bed around that time!

I had to get the mother in laws dog put down on new years day. After she was put down the vet gave me the cert to confirm it and the date was 1/1/11 and the time was 1.11. Later that day i got that email that if you add the year you were born ie 84 plus the age you will be this year 27 the answer comes to 111.

I know its all coincidence but still a bit weird.
