GLS couriers - Belgium to N. Ireland

    Hi,

    I'm waiting on an important delivery from Belgium which I hope to receive by next Wednesday. I'm off on holidays on Thursday and badly need to have it before then. It was sent at 6pm from Brussels yesterday (Friday) using GLS Couriers. I think that they send it to the UK and parcelforce take over from there.

    Does anybody know if the parcel will move at all over the weekend?

    The tracking is number is: 61840079054 with GLS.

    I have used the transit time calculator on the GLS website to get a delivery time estimate. It tells me that it will not be delivered until next Friday! However, if I change the delivery address to Belfast it gives me Tuesday as the delivery date. I'm in Dungannon which is only 40 minutes from Belfast. So I'm wondering why it will take two extra days!

    I also contacted parcelforce who said that once it is in the UK it will be delivered in 24 hours.

    If anyone can shed any light on this form me please help.

    There is thread somewhere on here murdering GLS. They managed to not find my address, sent a €1500 guitar back to the UK and finally lost it.
