This board user was on the Daily show yesterday by phone, he's climbing Croagh Patrick everyday for a year for charity (St Vincent de Paul). So far he's raised €20,000.

This is his facebook page bout the climb and this is a website bout it.

He tried to get a 100 people to go up with him on the 100th day back in September in the first link above (Mayo Forum), maybe somthing can be arranged in After Hours (more people like). It's a good day out if it's sunny, (M.T Cranium) and a challenge. It'll be the new board beers.:p

Fair play to him is all I can say with the winter we just had and the wind today.

    So what's your greatest achievement?

I suppose that would depend on your experience and level of fitness.

Well, someone with what I would call a reasonable level of fitness could do it without having to use using their hands. Which isn't even exactly climbing

    You're right. It's a climb up a large hill.

If I had the time I might do (great views on a clear day). People have run up and down the thing in less than 45 mins. I think one guy climbed it 7 times in one day

fair play to him, for some of us it is a challenge to go for a two mile walk. Is AH going to join him.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 25,243 ✭✭✭✭Jesus Wept

No, I have no interest in going on the same long walk 365 days in a row.
