    I have 8 CHX 20 Month Old Heifers around 450 - 500 KGs.
I have been feeding them 3 KG of meal the past 3 weeks and was going to sell them in 2 weeks time (5 weeks on Meal), someone told me that I would only see the full benefit of the meal after 8 weeks and to hold off until that.

My thoughts are the trade is good and sell in 2 weeks?
    Any tips?

Well, personaly id hold on. Like, it takes them a few weeks before you get any noticeable improvements imo.... but then again, for what you'll get in return for extra costs is it worth it??. Better money in the pocket than being a buisy fool.
Sorry, can't realy give a definite answer,.. Id go with your gut feeling in such a case

ok what market are these heifers for are they fit for breeding going to grass or going back into a shed to be finished.why have you been feeding 3kgs now.by feeding them for longer who then is going to be your customer, i always maintain that if a plan is put in place and cattle are fed for it stick with it.

The market will be back into a shed and finished at 22 months... They had been getting 1KG a head as part of a bigger group since Nov 1. I upped it to 3 KG 3 weeks a go to put the extra gloss on them.
I will proberally sell them in 2 weeks time as market is good
