... people out there in our nation don't have maps and, uh, I believe that our, uh, education like such as in South Africa and, uh, the Iraq, everywhere like such as, and, I believe that they should...

Such a helpful lot. Poor OP.

The teaching forum would have been a better place to post this op!

Clearly she knows the counties in Irish but she wants to either show a map on a projector or hand out copies of a map. Kids will be able to learn better with a visual aid in front of them instead of a list of the counties in irish.

Could you name all the counties of Ireland in English without Google ?

Doesn't matter but we all could get a map in irish by googling 'map of ireland as gaelge' faster than the OP could post

I don't think that's what he's saying at all; a dictionary exists for that purpose, and there are several online. He obviously wants a map in Irish.

OP, that map sensibleken linked to above is quite good. On one side is a map of Ireland; on the other side is a map of the world - both in the Irish. Both are, however, physical maps. I'm still looking for a political map in Irish.

    Can you? :p

I couldn't, but I sure as fook could pop down to the library and get a map. Before the internet. And/or peruse the magical cheat-book that the teachers possess. You know the one. The book in the locked drawer in their desk. The one book to rule them all!

it has tara written but its still in meath and the same size as it is now. Tara was long gone by the time the counties were drawn up
