I picked up a few bits while I was out and about but this is my favorite!

The Bartender's Book. It was 15.99 but I got it for 4.50 thanks to my sister's boyfriend who works there :D

You'll be waiting a looooooooooooooooooooong time :pac:

    A 32GB SSD is about 80 euro, that's 30 more than a 500gb HDD :P

Is it worth the extra price for the average broke person?

I'm the average broke person, And only got it due to knowing that I was getting some money over christmas.

There's advantages and disadvantages. My oringal HDD was slow and I needed to upgrade so this was 50 ish more and I decided I'd take the chance and get it.

It performs a lot better, Way quicker boot (30 seconds differnce on OSX) and resource intensive programs open very quickly too.

I find it's good for me, But I used Photoshop, after effect, FCP and alot of programs that make use of this.

I ran Photoshop Cs5 (64-bit) for the first time on my new laptop tonight and it was so fast compared to my old one and I'm only on a 7200rpm HDD(though I do have a decent graphics card and processor). On an SSD, it'd be ridiculous. :P

Yeah, that's the one thing with windows, even win 7, After a while the start up time will get slower over time, Maybe not on your machine (cause I think I saw it in this thread and it's pretty decent) but for a lot of them. I installed windows 7 about 4 times on my dell over the space of 9 months, because it was getting slow :pac:

It has noticeable changed since I got it. The time the boot-splash shows hasn't changed but after login the time before you can perform actions has changed substancially but I'm going to blame it on the 40gb of video I currently have on it for a video project since I haven't installed a huge amount of programs. When I'm finished with that project, I'll move the files to a hard drive and see if that speed changes then.

My local Londis is selling that and Centra is selling like every flavour of Milka. Love my life, even if I do end up as a fat hairy man who tries to meet teenagers through the internet.

I got a Nikon film camera but I can't change the aperture on my lens, it's stuck at f22 because new cameras change it in camera but ye olde Nikon needs an aperture ring, I took those photos myself that's the actual camera and I use photoshop CS5 too Ricky91t. :)

I'm still waiting to get a film cam off a family friend. He gave me all the equipment for self development and said he had an SLR to give me almost a year ago and said he'd show me how to do it all but never has.

That's actually a good idea I'll probably do it :) although the giant cupcake I did wasn't proper I just doubled my usual mixture and made it in a cake tin and iced it. I plan on getting a proper mould at some point, the only one I've seen that wasn't silicone was like €45!

Went to Dundrum today, pretty sweet place, just kind of a confusing layout. Went to Urban Outfitters and got a pair of Cheap Mondays for 20 quid, can't really go wrong :).

    How do you find them?

I'm usually a Vic Firth man myself but I've owned a pair of Vater New Orleans Jazz sticks before, I think I broke one of them, tends to happen from time to time. :P

Just started using em, they're fierce light, and not really suited to the style I'm playing. But I love to bate the bejsus out of the kit so it doesn't really matter, and it's handy for the faster parts. I had a pair of vater's before which were handy enough but at only €11.50 I thought I'd give those ones a go. Probably be broken by the end of the month but sher...:pac:
