is it possible to upgrade a usb 2.0 port to usb 3.0 .download drivers?

No, they require a physical upgrade. Very few devices use it at the moment, so you probably won't need it for quite a while, but it is something to consider when buying a computer in the coming years.

You could get add in cards with USB 3 ports too.
