    Hi,

I'm just wondering if anyone can tell me where in northern Ireland I may be able to do the PGCE or PGDE? from searching on the net i have come across Queens university and the university of ulster.. is there anymore?

and furthermore is the closing date for the PGCE in northern ireland and uk closed for 2011 ?

I think the subjects are split between Queen's and UU in Coleraine.

There's also St Mary's and Stranmillis in Belfast and although they are part of Queen's, they may have seperate admissions procedures.

All the PGCE courses in Great Britain, but NOT those in Northern Ireland use the GTTR to handle admissions. There's no closing date as such, but the later you leave it, the fewer places there are left.

    See http://www.gttr.ac.uk/ for more info.

Now, I did my PGCE several years ago now, and some of this may have changed, but certainly the Queen's PGCE course closing date was always in November of the year before. So it should have passed by now.

I think your too late to apply to the north now. Queen's closing date is November and UU is in late December. GTTR is your best bet now.
