hmm... My ps3 was folding along for Boards quite nicely, until I ran out of ethernet ports. The issue must be on your end.

Do you plan to fold -bigadv WUs on it? That can net you 50k PPD.

That's the plan, it's not running yet as I'm not sure how stable it is yet. I was getting about 30k PPD when I tried it which wouldn't seem right.

That number sounds about right. I currently have mine at 4ghz and it is netting me 33k PPD.

Have you finished 10 smp WUs with your passkey?

Mine's running at 4.8Ghz but HFM says it's giving me 22k PPD, I'll leave it on for a few hours and check later.

Also, have to return my mobo now thanks to Intel's almighty screw up

Think I'll wait a while though.

I think I am going to keep the motherboard. I will RMA it later once they have more boards that are working properly. I don't see it as a major issue as of now.

or are you both using a folding farm or something...

i can hit 22,000 PPD if i leave my 3xgtx 280's running but not running watercooling so temps run too high... low 90's

I cannot speak for them, but I can tell you that the newest nvidia gpu's, gtx 400/500 series, fold quite well. The gtx 460 can get 12K on its own.

Also, when you get your cpu folding as well, the points can really start to fly. A typical quad core, like the q6600 will net you < 10k PPD. However, when you start folding -bigadv WUs with the i7 chips, you can get 30-65k PPD with a single cpu.

Main rig GTX 460 = 11000 ppd
2nd rig i5 smp + gtx 275 = 16000 ppd

I'm folding with a 2600k and Q6600, I haven't actually got round to getting my GTX260 folding yet, it's a bit of a pain to get setup in Linux.

I wouldn't bother... the lag is unbelieveable.

Besides, it awful to get it working properly. Took me ages to write up the Linux GPU guide, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

I suppose many don't look in here. any good ideas for promoting the team? might throw something into my sig, but then i'd have to enable sigs and endure the utter shoite so many people put in their sigs but I'll get over it
