    Hi All,

just curious to see if guys can help. basically i have an Iphone 4 and a laptop running ubuntu 10.04 but i'm unable to get the music to transfer. i have tried rhythmbox and can drag and drop the music onto the device but when i unmount then it won't show on the phone. I tried Anorak also but damned if i can get it to work.

Am i missing something? I have heard people say it doesn't work. can any of ya help? :)

I had the same troubleand just found it easier to SSH files directly and play in Dtunes. Not ideal but quicker than trawling for Ubuntu answers

I had it working a few months ago, though I'm not doing it at the moment. The device comes up in Rhythmbox, I dragged and dropped files over. The annoying thing was that it would Sync while the files were copying. After it was done, I launched "Music" and it would reindex all the files. Sorry I can't be more specific, since I know it's a bit hit and miss - just try various things and see what works.
