i wouldn't trust a guy who dances really well.
the fact that i cant dance and dont want to be shown up also comes into play

if you're talking abt dancing in nightclubs and such, don't worry abt it. Most people don't know how to dance. The people who look like they do, would probably say that they don't. Generally i head onut on the dance floor, and have a laugh. If people look at you and think you're a prat, then they're not worth thinking about. I actually find the people who never dance the funny ones, since they're in a dance-club. (if they want to drink till 2:30, just go to a late-bar)

Every time I see a dance floor my heart starts beating like a bag of bunnies falling down a set of stairs, I smell the spirit of Michael Flatley in the air and start dancing like one of the cartoon characters from the lyons tea ad.

But seriously, I usually pretend I've got fire ants all over me and start flailing about like a baboon on E.

i find it helps to focus on a certain woman, and force any thought of looking bad to the back of my head. If i'm admiring a woman it helps.

When I'm out proper-clubbing, I dance like a crazy person.
If I'm in some craphole semi-club (Zanzibar etc) I can't really dance to poppy stuff unless I've had a fair few tankards. I won't dance to most poppy crap no matter how many pints are in me.

I used to rave alot when I was (*umm) younger.

At house parties and illegal raves organised (wherever).

So I guess if the fancy takes me I can dance.
In fact, I'd say I'm a brilliant dancer.

I used to dance when I was younger - 15-19 kinda thing. But other than maybe dancing to a slow set with the girl or something like that, I have absolutely zero interest in it (this excludes the big drunken circles thing that happens at Xmas new year etc...)

I don't know what has changed, but I simply get zero kick out of it. I prefer late bars, pub atmoshphere etc. - a night out with everyone dancing and not really talking to each other is a ****ing waste in my view.

Also I find that almost nobody *can* dance. You may think you can, or you look good, but generally picking out any individual on a dancefloor rather than watching the writhing mass will let you notice it is all crap. I am not talking about proper dancers here - just your regular nightclub in Dublin scenario.

I dunno, I have nothing against it, but it ain't for me. Personally I get my kicks out of training, diving, kitesurfing etc and when the gf decides she wants to come out on the water, then maybe I will go watch a salsa class with her.

I don't need dancing for a release or excersise, I have excersise for that, and for a release, drinking with pals works just fine.

Its funny cause its true, one year I asked him for the gift of rhythem, and guess what? All I got was eternal happiness, what a gyp!

I love the old dancing, my favourite is with one of my pals go out onto an empty dancefloor, push imaginary ppl out of the way and start making a fool of myself, e.g robot dance or mime. I feel its the effort that counts, also if u have self confidence it looks a lot better then being able to get jiggy with the beat

I see where you're coming from on this - in general if I'm going out clubbing, I go to the pub first and drink pretty lightly (boozing heavily before going to a club is a bad bloody idea) until closing time (11pm in London, bah) before heading off to a preferred club, so you pretty much get the best of both worlds.

Of course, lots of decent clubs have relatively quiet chill-out areas in them too, which are great for just meeting random people and talking crap. In some ways that's the best bit of a club night out for me - the dancing and the music is fun, but the weird selection of people you get to meet is even more fun

Hehe... I Man Dance. Usually to Hip-Hop but have been doing Salsa for the last few months and I have to say guys.. There are a LOT of really REALLY hot wimmin that are all single there.

I even met my GF there :P
