    Hi folks,

Just curious. If someone drives an Irish registered car in the UK and parks in the wrong place, receives a fine slapped on his windscreen from the local traffic warden, does he have to pay it?

What happens if he ignores it?

no, nothing until you get another fine from a police officer in the uk for speeding etc, then the **** hits the fan.

I wouldn't be assed paying for it. Drove through Central London and merely laughed at the Congestion Cameras.

Nothing will ever come of it, at worst a couple of begging letters for you to pay, which they would only send IF they knew your address(which THEY CANT KNOW)

I got a ticket 2 years ago and never paid it . Nothing was ever done BUT I haven't taken that car back to the uk since. Not sure what would happen when I do

If you intend driving the same car in the UK again pay it.

Not just for speeding. Most new police cars are being fitted with ANPR cameras and provided not busy with other duties, the cops here pull over anyone of interest (no tax, insurance etc).
