any chance of getting the tournament fixtures posted up??? :-)
also is it possible for the 2v2 teams to be arranged by the people, i just think it would be cool of people could team up with their usual team mates if theyre coming too (ie: me and prometheus have nearly 1000 2v2s played together, ranked 200th in the world, so it'd be pretty awesome if we could take you noobs on on the night
)
also ffa's kind of suck (turtle tech wars) , maby another 1v1 tournament, or make it bo3?0 -

Put me down for the time being but I might have to work that night, I'll let you know either way. Also in the FFA, how do you determine who comes second? Last man standing? By final game scores?

she's on the list now.I'm gonna bring my laptop. FFA tourney sounds like it should be good craic. Could have an off-race fun tourney if there's time too, if people are interested.
we could do random for the FFA tourney if people agree to it.I dont like the sound of bo1s.

ok, no problem on the laptop. As for the best of 1, its time limited im afraid. these games can last a long time if people turtle up (which they are more than welcome to do) so its not going to work if its bo3.
Also, put down "xir" for one of the remaining slots, if there's a remaining slot, royal. He's a mate who couldn't figure out how to post here...

i am finalising the tourney tree at the moment.
as for the 2v2 it will not be possible to pick your own team mate. this makes it unfair on everyone as we have a wide range of talent levels coming.
2 diamond/master league players teaming up would not be fair on the lower level players.
however, 1 master league getting paired with say a silver makes a more fair team.

FFA and random 2v2 sounds like good craic indeed,
I ll be bringing my mouse and (french AZERTY-style) keyboard (i ve never seen a USB headset though, could you reconfirm that?) but they need a software to run (razer stuff...) so should i come a bit earlier to install it?

^^ logitech g35 USB headset. most modern headsets are USB, and yeah they do require software. so if you have a USB headset, bring the installation disk if possible.Is it ok for people to come along and spectate? Is there going to be a big screen up or anything - or an Irish version of day9 commentating? :-)

i mean, bo1 makes it very unreliable, any lucky cheese can knock out the best player in the tournamemt. bo3 is like insurance, the best player nearly always wins
Besides, 12 hours is planty of time for a bo3
Honestly a lot of people are interested in the 2v2 and FFA tournaments because this lan is for fun, not for a 1v1 tournament.
If the best player in the tournament cant counter cheese, then they're not the best player in the tournament

Yeah I know what you mean, but anybody can loose to a cheese once off, and I'm just paranoid that if go 15 hatch, some bronze leager will proxy 2 gate me
And yeah your right about the team games, but I just dont really think ffa's are a good idea, as you were talking about time restrictions, FFA's are the longest and most turtle orientated games of all
