It does have Satellite imagery of Arklow....and only Satellite imagery, and that is the problem. Its a misconception that Google earth imagery is all Satellite imagery. The higher populated or geographicall interesting areas are actually High resolution aerial photography taken from planes. Google Earth swaps in the aerial imagery below a certain height/zoom for areas that have it. It remains Satellite photography for areas that don't have the aerial stuff available. Google Earth only gets the low res Satellite imagery from the public domain not the 'read newspaper headlines from space' stuff from the US spy Satellites. Hence blurry mess when you zoom in too far on the Sat only areas.

Zoom out and notice all the stripes on the Irish map. They are stripes of Aerial photography. Arklow must be way down the list of importance and it takes a long time to do. Remember, you need clear skies to do it. How often do we get those at the same time the charter planes are available. It'll be a slow process getting the whole country done.
