Herbal remedies aren't worth a sh1te for genuine sleeping problems imo.
If they are any use to you, then you probably didn't have an issue in the first place.

I get it terrible from time to time, sometimes I just skip sleep altogether because of it.

Post Traumatic Stress means I have *mild* insomnia coz I can't stop thinking. Is mild insomnia real? I mean, it's not something I've had for a long time and last night I got 11 hours sleep with the help of a relaxant but I usually don't do that unless I have gone a couple of nights on 5 or 6 hours. I have been used to getting 8 hours in every night so my body isn't used to running on empty.

usually the reason I cant get sleep is because I get a small story going in my head when i lie down and simply cannot stop thinking about it, next time it happens I'm going to just post the f*cker here to see if that helps.

It's all about routine , when you try to sleep different hours it's difficult I wouldn't call it insomnia though.

how long have you had it? This is the first time stress has given me insomnia, usually makes me over-sleep '_' Dunno which is worse tbh

insomnia is an effing nightmare. i get about 4 hours of sleep a night max. all those years of unemployment have caught up with me. my biological clock is unable to adapt to early morning starts!

I reckon if I spend 8 hours in bed, I only sleep about 4 usually. I find if the room is nice and cool, it's slightly better. Obviously, use common sense. Don't get pneumonia.

You should probably write it down rather than logging onto your computer or whatever. I'd imagine being on a computer would lead to other websites and stimulating your brain more, making it hard to sleep again.

Eh, over a month now I'd say. It takes me ages to get to sleep and then when I do get to sleep, I sleep well! Over the Christmas, I would be going to bed between 1 - 2 am and would still be awake at 5 am with the light being out for 2 or 3 hours at that stage.

Well I'm in college so I'd have pretty much the same routine everyday.

you been a student might mean you either do nothing all day, which gives you insomnia, or you are stressed out from study? which is it?

    Quite the generalisation there.

I am stressed after being in a fatal crash. As I said, it's Post Traumatic stress from the actual accident, the anxiety that followed it, falling behind in college work and the inability to concentrate on the college work I have to do. I'm getting help though, so hopefully this insomnia is only temporary.

Sleep is precious. Its as important as fuelling your body with food & water. Ive had insomnia on occasion in the past. Its a head wrecker.
If your having so much trouble sleeping i can't see the harm in getting a few sleeping pills to correct your sleeping pattern. If lack of sleep starts to affect your normal daily activities negatively its time to go to the doctor.

Obviously its just to reboot your sleep cycle, not a permanent solution.

    * Disclaimer; i do be ain't no doctor, so if yall die, ain't my fault ya hear. What in tarnation do i know...
