Cubase5 Vocal Recording?

    Hi

    I am recently enjoying Cubase 5 and have written a song but obviously dont want the vocal synth. Can anybody please tell me how to record a voice onto the project? The manual is a bit vague about it...

    plug mic into interface
    create new track
    set input same as the channel your mic is plugged into on interface.
    record arm track
    start making noise

    ;)
