Have to say, really liked their first album. First single has a bit more of an "epic"/stadium rock to feel to it, which so many bands seem to follow. Been getting really good reviews, so looking forward to the album.

I saw these guys playing support to Glasvegas a year or two ago. Put on a good show, but didn't think much of the album. Going to give this one a listen.

Funnily enough, I think I read in the nme recently that they're releasing a new album soon. Their first album was quite good if a touch repetitive.

Not sure what to make of the new album even after listening to the whole thing through a few times (not to mention that I heard some of the songs live in September). Aside from "Bigger Than Us", it's very electronic and quite weird in places. Streetlights or Is Love would be highlights for me. There's nothing as glorious as To Lose My Life or Death though

Good band and are apparently good live too but to me that this second album sounds the same as the first. Maybe it's just the lead singers unique voice that makes me think that...but I can't help think they are slightly overhyped.

I am going to get it as i think their music is unique, have a friend that has seen them live many times in England and he said they sound amazing live

As mentioned already, it's basically 'To Lose My Life' mk 2, but some of the hooks are irresistible.

'Bigger Than Us' already the best thing I've heard in ages

They seem to be following the Editors template, although I'm only going by the single which sounds very like something from Editors album no.3

After multiple listens this album's really growing on me, a lot better than I thought after hearing various snippets online. Oddly enough, I find it quite different to their first album. Obviously more electronic, also think percussion is much more prevalent. Drumming is unreal. After repeated listens don't think there's a weak track. Won't get ahead of myself, give it a good few listens more and see how it sits.

As a big first White Lies album fan I have to say i'm pretty disappointed in this. It just dosen't have the creativity that was in songs such as 'Death' and 'E.S.T.' Ive listened to it a few times already and i've found myself mixing up a few of the songs cos some sound the same, I never found that happening on 'To Lose My Life'.

The hooks arent as catchy either, 'Is Love' is definitely a standout but the rest of the song barring the hook is so boring. 'The Power and The Glory' feels so forced and the lyrics don't flow at all, especially the hook.

I really wanted it to be excellent but it's disappointing, it's not a bad album or anything, just not a great one.

'Bigger Than Us' is a really good single, but nothing on the album is as good as 'Death', or even close to be honest.
