US presidents get films all the time, but we never give our politicians the credit that is due. I think it would certainly make for an interesting film, particulary the love life/ the struggles / the uphill battles.

Now one thing I couldnt make my up on is who would play the part of Bertie. Do you we underappreciate our poilticians when comparing to lets say America were they put their leaders in films.

    I'd watch it.

If it was a snuff movie.

Well everyone loves gangster and corruption movies, so Bertie's life would be perfect for that. I'd like Danny DeVitto to play him.

Another remake of Dirty Rotten Scoundrels?

Steve Martin I bet could do a good Bertie, and Michael Caine is about the right age for Haughey.

    Could be epic.

    It'd make a great comedy..

What's the reason for being reasonable?

    Is that an unreasonable question?

Maybe if they make it like Air Force One, and he has to deal with hijackers on a government jet...

    That'd be cool.

Only Bertie would have the nerve more like! Not anytime soon. Maybe when the wounds have healed, or when he's dead.

Fuk no. If I wanted to see a film about an Irish criminal I'll watch the general.

    I love it!

I couldn't have said it better.

They will wait until he get's in Aras!! I think anyone would be mad to give him a vote if he had the neck to run  I for sure wouldn't give him a vote.

Though he is no fool; he knew when to step down after the damage was done.

I still cringe when I think of his speech at one of the FF ard fheis when he he said something along the lines of anyone who believes all the stories about Ireland over spending etc should commit suicide.

I know he said sorry but this speech was prepared well in advance by himself and highly paid advisors and this was no excuse.

    Sorry for the rant!

PS I won it on the horses!! Yeah thats a deadly name for the movie!!
Jaysus Bertie in a porno!! That wud be more of a horror movie than a gangster flick! hahaaha!

Ok, we'll make it a heist movie.

The only team Bertie supports is Man UTD.

That going away speech in 2008? I would like to see someone like Michael Douglas do that like the speech in indepdencen day. But there would never be enough money to pay the actor.
