The most boring and slow paced COD to date. Utter dross. I play the ps3 quite a bit and I'd say have played Bops for a total of an hour in the past week.

It is slow paced depending on who your playing. A game of 6 v 6 on array with 5 out of the 6 people using ghost and camping in corners makes for such a slow game.

Au contraire. I am sick of moving around the map for the first two minutes of a Tdm just so I can see someone.

Ghost slows the whole game down. No stopping power/jugg makes it the best perk in the game.

Killstreaks aren't worth a **** and are not rewarding as they are in mw2. For all of mw2's flaws, it was more fun than bops.

I could go on and on, just think it's a fairly **** game and most of my friends agree with me.

It can be slow paced, but sure so was MW2 at times. It can also be pretty fast paced aswel, maps like firing range, summit, WMD etc can be pretty hectic. I guess the lack of explosives make it seem slower... because it was usually the campers that noobtubed, so even they were doing there part.

Movement wise, it does feel a little different but i wouldnt say its slow.

I think the general scale of the maps is an issue there re: slowness.

In MW2 only Derailed, Overgrown and Fuel were on a really large scale (maybe Sub-base depending on movement) and even these had their high-traffic areas (2 spawns and centre building on Derailed, Granny's House, the 2 buildings on the other side of the riverbed and the hay barn in Overgrown, the camping building between A and C Dom and C Com on Fuel, server-room/generator room and A Dom alley on Sub-base) where you were guaranteed to find a bunch of people.

In BO the maps and action seems more spread out with, in general, fewer arterial routes that everyone is funneled through/into as well as there being more indoor space (IMO anyway) with rooms and corridors where people can hide/ambush/whatever.

Ghost should only be available when you have a secondary anti air launcher equipped. ****ing 90% of knobs today had a silenced weapon and ghost, and most of those were sitting in a corner. Thought all the fvckin' kids were back to school but I guess not.

no its not to do with the NAT type..

yesterday my NAT type changed to moderate and getting into games was hard and then getting kicked out games was frustrating..

Spent ages trying to fix it.

For some unrelated reason the game freezes mid game sometimes.. never happens on the menu or anything... only when I'm kicking ass usually aswel!! Dunno why it happens, disc is clean!!

Thats exactly it, frustrating as it was, it was much more rewarding to get a good streak going on MW2 than it is on Blops, I thought the idea of non stackable killstreaks was a good idea at first as it avoids the 5 kills=predator=harrier=pavelow combo from MW2, but it actually makes camping worse as you cant move about as your chopper or whatever cleans up, you still have to get those extra kills yourself and people just play campier when they want a chopper gunner or gunship.

And at least in MW2 people actually took down air support, nobody seems to bother their hole in this because its such a non threat. on mw2 if there was a harrier/pavelow or 2 harriers in the air it was a challenge to take them down, it was more fun having a ton of air support up and trying to take them out as it could swing the game in either way.

This game is'nt as much fun as MW2, I know MW2 was annoying and it would get on your tits sometimes but I could play MW2 for a few hours at a time and I would kind of look forward to playing it but with BLOPS I find myself only playing maybe 3 or 4 games and getting bored and turning it off.

As I said before, AK-47U + silencer + ghost + last stand :mad::mad:

I actually went back and played MW1 last week for the first time since MW2 was released and it was a breath of fresh air, it looks so much better than BLOPS and how I miss the G36C. There was barely any lag and I got a game straight away (granted there is'nt as many people playing it non probably so thats maybe why there was such little lag) I thought I would of got hopped off in the game because I thought everyone playing it would of been die hard players who have played it since day one but I ended up getting some nice amount of kills.

Screw blops for all the connection/freezing issues it has. Screw blops for Second Chance. Screw blops for RC cars. Screw blops for fps fails on the ps3. Screw blops for Ak-74u bs. Screw blops for ghost+silencers.

For everything blops fixed from MW2 came more problems than MW2.

Will be turning to Mass Effect 2 and Dead Space 2 for a breather.

Went on to MW2 on PS3 to remind myself of the difference and the game was full of hackers with aimbots and who knows what else.

Sony should hurry up and ban the lot of them.

play TDM Express, no hackers at all been playing it all day and no issues.

Will be turning to Mass Effect 2 and Dead Space 2 for a breather.

Cant wait for Dead Space, gonna take a break from CoD completely for a while playing that. Think I'm withered from the whole series at this point

Im really thinking about trading in Blops and just waiting for the next COD game, MW2 will keep me going till then, played a few games earlier and just got fcuking booooorrred after a half hour, its a dull, dull ,dull game to play. boring maps, boring weapons, boring killstreaks (except the chopper gunner, thats friggin awesome, hope they keep the viewpoint that way if its in the next one). compared to the utter blast i had playing MW2 with Lee earlier today, the only boring map on that game is Fuel, and maybe Derail if everyone is camping, aside from that its just hectic from the word go. In Blops I've been in matches where its almost a minute into the game before anyone is killed, theres slowing the pace down, and then theres killing it entirely.

I just played two games there and I got so pissed off I had to turn the xbox off. One was on Crisis which was full of campers and the next one was on Havana and it was a f*cking campfest! Some guy was up in one of the hotel rooms lying down on the floor behind a bed with an AK-47U constantly aimed at the door and he had ghost on aswell... what a joke, how can anyone have fun doing this?

This game is a farce and I think I'm done with it now for a while.

Can you actually do anything with the points?? I have about 350k points at this stage, have unlocked and bought pretty much everything. They seem pretty useless to me now. Am I missing something?

Most of my fun is annoying campers... couple frags, stickys, flash or nova in the window would have sorted that right out :rolleyes:

jeez, i'm probably gonna get abuse for this but I appear to be the only person that used Ghost on here. I used to run it with a supressor but (hopefully the guys i've played with will confirm this), i never sat in corners, running and gunning with ghost made it fun for me, annoying as tits for the enemy but at least it wasn't camping

I have a "stealth" class - with Ghost, warlord and ninja, Assault rifle with suppressor. I don't think there's anything wrong with that.

The problem i'd have is if the player didn't move for the entire game...

I always use Ghost and Suppressors.

Oh believe me I tried this on numerous occasions but he was at such an angle that I could'nt get it the semtex in the door and near him because he just fired at me while he I was mid throw. Even when I throw a flash in he just blind fired at the door. The fact I had a sh*te connection means he could probably see me a second before I could do anything.

Flashbang/smoke, and step away. Wait for him to loose a full clip blind firing, and then step in and kill him while he is re-loading.

Great marketing coup for Black Ops. Far inferior game to MW\2 on the creaking World At War engine. Still a mega seller!
Major disappointment. Here's hoping Infinity Ward make the next one.
