Sap from trees left marks on car

I park my car under the trees at home and over the autumn have not had a chance to wash it as often as I would like. I haven't been using the car as often over the winter months either. I washed it today and have noticed what I believe is stains from the trees/leaves/seeds. I have tried rubbing them off but its been quiet difficult and have been getting nowhere. Does anyone know and stuff i can rub on the car to remove these stains which will not destroy the car??

Is it marks in the paint or on the paint?

If it is 'on' the paint try brake cleaner.

Wd-40 or nail polish remover will do it. Make sure to wash down the area with water afterwards to remove the solvents and prevent any damage to the finish. Also, use a cloth designed for cleaning cars to prevent scratching and don't rub too hard!

Seemingly mayonnaise will work too but it doesn't surprise me; I removed cement from my car last week with vinegar and water.

Would'nt like to chance nail polish remover!

A petrol soaked rag and a some elbow grease should see results. Give the car a good polish afterwards.

get yourself a clay bar kit.. the auto glym one is easy to use.. the Meguiars one is also very good

+1 and use a good quality wax polish to protect the paintwork after the washing, claying, washing cycle.

Do not use any of the solvents suggested as they may damage / discolour the paintwork.

I think you might mean Megulars.

Bird droppings, sap from trees, etc if left on car paintwork can cause permanent damage and be difficult to remove unless you use a good quality car shampoo.

would you get two cars out of the bottle of quick detailer andy?? i just had enough to do my bora in the kit i got (same as one i linked) but then again i probably put way too much on!!
