Being new to using Dublin Bus I tried using their Route Planner. This tells you what Bus Stop to go to; but not the number of the bus to hail once you are there. That's not much use when the stop which I would use has several different bus numbers using it.

Click on "View Route Details and Map"

Then next to the map on the left side in the "Search Criteria" column it will say "Option 1 - Route Details" (or whatever option you picked) and it should say "Take bus (x:towards x)..."
