Hi, can anyone offer advice on how to transfer a mini dv tape to DVD. Do I need a converter tape first ?

Hi Hard-Target,

It isn't to hard, you should be able to take your clips from the mini dv via USB & then burn them to DVD, there's lots of tutorials on google about it.

If you dont have any DVD burning software there is also lots of free DVD burning software, again google 'free DVD burning software'

yes, I agree with dacogawa, You just google "DVD burning software" ,"DVD creator" or "DVD show", those keywords can help you solve problem.
