Got my steering wheel last night (G25) and I was bloody useless with it!
I find the steering a bit loose (especially going into the Grand Hotel hairpin in Cote Dazur. This could be because of the 900 degree turning in the G25 which doesnt match up with what I see on the screen.
Anyone got any tricks and tips for a noob with a wheel?

    Thanks

change force feedback to 5, simulation setting and power steering off. you can adjust the feedback up and down to suit yourself after that but i find those settings fairly good.

Do you still want the RX-7 so?

Did u send on the RX-7 yet? Coz, if you did it's after getting lost along the way to me as i have not recieved it yet . If ya havent sent it yet it's cool, I'm sure there's gonna be new races up soon anyway.

On a different topic, I just finished the GT World Tour to get all Gold in the Professional Series. But why do the end credits come up when there is still Expert and Extreme to race thru? Kinda silly really

on the first screen where you choose gt mode or arcade go to options on the right and scroll down to hardware. you just pick it from the list there.

I mentioned on the previous page that there were one or two other people ahead of you. Last night I sent the Elise to TroutFisher, the RX-7 will go to you tonight and then on Friday guil will get the Audi TTS.

What does everyone think of the NASCAR seasonal race at the ' Ring? Ive got the money to spend and want to complete this seasonal race, mainly for the EXP, only thing thats stoping me is that I was useless at the NASCAR special event and didnt even finish it.

Its realativley easy, stick on soft tires, increase the downforce a bit and shorten the gears, should be able to win it.

    Easy money.

Eh, but it might be too late. I think that seasonal race expired at 03.00am on 13/1/2011, i.e. earlier this morning. But I'm not sure which timezone that 3am refers to.

On the upside, that means there'll be a new set of challenges posted today (I presume).

Hoping for new challenges alright and if the NASCAR one is gone I wont lose much sleep. Im at level 26 at the moment anyway, nearly 27, B spec mode im at level 10. Might try the Roadster endurance race today after work.

Do you use a controller rather than a wheel ? Seems to me that the Nascar school is very difficult with the controller as precision steering is impossible with the controller i.e. either you're turning or you're not.

Both, I have the DFGT setup upstairs on a computer desk for my PS3 in my room and when I move the PS3 downstairs to the bigger TV in the front room I use a controller.

Ive been using the controller for the last few weeks as the PS3 has sat donwstairs but now thta its gone to my room im using the DFGT again and im golding tests and have found ive a better knowledge of tracks and handling of the cars so im going try the NASCAR school with the DFGT after work.

I get what your saying about the input, the controller seems to either turn you to much or not enough and it can be frustrating trying keep it in a straight line.

for all the nascar special events make sure abs is off. sometimes the skid recovery thing is forced on and it knocks 20-30 mph off your speed in the bends but turning off abs forces skid recovery off.

i spent ages trying that one where you rejoin from the pits and couldn't get near 1st until i turned off abs.

Cool, I think I have ABS off anyway, I'll check just incase anyway.

The event from the pits is the reason I gave up, I couldnt even catch them, my drafting technique was very bad, I have improved it a bit in general races but Im going go back and catch up on it.

I added you. I can send you whichever one you want as I don't lost them when I send them so I can send the same one to multiple people. Still at only one a day though.

Ah no worries, I understand as I've been sending cars myself. I don't mind which one you send on, a free car is always nice so who could complain.

I sent you the Supra. Can you confirm you got it?

Thanks very much sir. I have it there now. I'll send it onto someone once I win the race.
EDIT: Guil gets the TTS tomorrow night. I'm done now with the Supra which Domo-kun gave me, so I can give that to whoever needs it.

I also have the following. Each has been tuned enough to win its race with ease:

    Golf GTI
    Challenger
    Volvo C-30
    The mad electric Mitsubishi

Lastly you can still race the previous Seasonal Event as it's available until the 20th so I have an unclaimed Focus if anyone wants it.

Graham_B18C - I sent you on the C4 WRC 08 car I received the other night. It's been tinkered a little with lowered suspenion and gear ratio to win the race a little easier. Just telling you in case you find the top speed a little slow.

The new seasonal race with the GTI at the 'Ring was a tough enough, I totally under estimated the opposition, went in with a Mark V GTI I had for awhile, Sports Soft, about 240 BHP, lowered, Stage 1 weight reduction, thought I'd breeze it, just managed to catch the Bettle RSi and passed it on the last right hander before the final straight, driving wasnt perfect in the race either, which didnt help.

I bought a NOMAD Diablo for the JGTC race, won with ease. The Charger race was a different story, managed to get 2nd and lose by about 10 seconds on my first attempt with a stock Charger, the Viper is quick through the middle section, well compared to the Charger :pac: , a bit of tuning and I was sorted.

Going try the roadster endurance race after work or the 200 miles at Laguna Seca.

If anyone is finished with their Ford GT or Citroen Rally car for the final two SE3 races could I borrow one? Didn't get back in time to finish the stupid Nascar at the Nurburg ring.

You can still do that- those races are still open for a few days yet.
