Biffo tells the FF party he is not resigning.....oh dear it looks like the albatross is going to be stubborn like a nasty verruca that is hard to shift, dug in and causing pain and discomfort. It makes me wonder how long Biffo intends to stay in power, maybe until May 2012? Can he be that thick......skinned?

so, wondering if anyone has it on youtube, I reckon Cowen was reading from autocue, he was starting to repeat himself or lost his track of it and thats why the feed was killed, when he reappeared he seemed to repeat himself.

the stubborn fool appears to need an autocue to make a statement

(dobbo FAILS the people again. he should be put on trial by the next administration)

Anytime I have ever seen the wet Dobbo interview Biffo it was soft. Its not the first time that Biffo has used autocue its regular as far as I can see. The country has to put up with this floundering self serving buffoon and FF party politics whilst the country is in crisis. Its the last thing we need.

There is not a hope in hell of an FF candidate being elected in a Waterford by-election if one was to be held.

Read what I wrote. It would promote any new FF candidate by giving them publicity.
It would not make any difference to the FF leadership.
so why would the opposition campaign for it?

More likely he told them to remember he knows where the bodies are buried and he needs more time to cover up the evidence.

Green Party Statement this evening on the matter
Green Party TDs and senators met this evening to consider the Fianna Fáil parliamentary meeting about their party leadership.
We note Mr Cowen's decision to consult his parliamentary party members about the matter.
The Green Party has already stated that Mr Cowen should himself have revealed his contacts with Anglo Irish Bank principals.
We also have concerns about additional revelations in this matter made in the Dail on Wednesday.

    I wonder will they walk?!

I doubt it they have stuck by their tainted Government partners this far can't see them developing any moral courage at this late stage.

Nearly 24 hours after I started this thread, I am surprised that Cowen is still in charge . . . I thought he was a gonner.

David Drumm has stated that Cowen did intervene with the NTMA on behalf of Anglo Irish Bank as per an article in the Irish Daily Mail tomorrow. Currently being read out on Vincent Browne on TV3.

Yep, what everyone sort of was expecting . . . but there we have it out in the open.

Cowen is finished if this is factual.

If true this is extremely serious and beyond who is the next leader of FF. Cowen is well and truly ****ed if Michael Sommers admits this to be true.

I find it amazing that the Daily Mail have managed to get an interview with Drumm instead of The Indo or Times.

why do people have to lie, did they not know, it is very easy to be caught out when telling lies

Tomorrows Irish Daily Mail, just read out by Vincent Browne.

The images can be enlarged enough to read by clicking on them. Going to buy the mail tomorrow anyway, they deserve it.

And there is an article in tomorrows Irish Times stating that they (Fitzpatrick and Drumm) lobbied Alan Gray the day before the Governments Bank Guarantee that put us into the fix that we are now. He is the Cowen appointed board member of the Central Bank that they were introduced to and had dinner with in Druids Glen.

Things are going to get very very difficult for Brian Cowen and all of his FF lackeys.

    Cowen is GUILTY of LYING

Cowen's actions have bankrupted this nation

COWEN IS A LIAR, SUE ME BRIAN.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 26,457 ✭✭✭✭gandalf

As a side note Michael Kennedy on Vincent Browne on TV3 is saying that FF are unpopular because people do not understand the difficult decisions they have had to take. Talk about arrogance.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,506 ✭✭✭muletide

If the mail is factual and what is currently being discussed on Vincent B on TV3 is true , then that's it - ball burst game over this weekend.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,678 ✭✭✭✭hotmail.com

There's two revelations - one in the Mail and one in the Times. I need the details - it is clear now that Cowen was misleading the Irish people.

So Cowen bankrupted the country so that his buddies with investments in Anglo would have time to get the money out before it collapsed. And we the citizens were left with a €100 billion plus bill and the IMF taking over the country as a consequence?

If this isn't economic treason, I'm at a complete loss. Lenihan, Cowen - the whole lot of them should be tried in a court of law.

I think its time the Gardai made their move.

Stand up Commissioner, show some leadership.

One mans word against the other.. We need to realise that FF will not move against him, and he is going nowhere.

The Greens only want their legislation rammed through.. If the government holds, they've a small chance.. So they won't budge either.

No ethics, no moral fibre, no doing what is right for our nation..

Normal service resumes.. Move along, nothing to see here.. you peasant types.
