Naming/Labelling Convention for Plug/Switch Circuits

Is there an official (or any) standard for the naming/labelling system used for sockets and switches on (newer) commercial buildings?

e g. Some use something like: DB1/RCBO1/32A/SK5
Which I assume translates to :
Distribution Board 1
RCBO 1
32A Circuit (32A RCBO)
Socket 5

While others are more cryptic.

The simple answer is no.

Different places have different systems. Many that I have seen would be similar to your example but would also include the switchroom name/number. Some would include the phase or code relating to circuit type (GS = general services, P = power, L = lighting, T = thermistor, C = control, FA = Fire alarm, EL = emergency lighting etc....)

Well I guess that you are limited to how much you can fit on a socket or accessory too. There is no need for the 32A/SK5 IMHO, you know its a socket as you are looking at it and you really just want to isolate the unit to work on it, so you just need the board ID and the circuit number, in many cases you cant fit more than that on anyway. Some of the sticker lables will work but the thicker labels can only be a certain size otherwise you can fit the plugtops properly.
