    I'm pretty certain B is 'Days of Glory' or 'Indigènes' to give it its correct french title

    B = English Patient?

    B = English Patient?

    Correctimundo !

    A - is based on a true story about the daughter of a white russian and what happens to her on a journalist assignment.
    There is an Irish connection to this underrated recent movie (connection to the movie not the story).

    If it's too off the beaten track and no one gets it in the next couple hours then it goes to youcancallme>al for correctly guessing B.

    Attack on Leningrad?

    If you're going to say Irish connection then I know the main actor is Irish. I think it's Liam Neeson. Either that or Gabriel Byrne

    I'm presume A is Attack on Leningrad because your screenshots are named Attack A and Attack B ;) I've never seen it actually, is it any good?

    I've got two ready, will post them up shortly

    It's not, when I got the photo I had to look twice as I did not recognise the actor who was a very famous actor and this photo is from a very famous war film.

    Should add the b&w photo is misleading, the film is in colour.

    Is B - 'Bridge on the River Kwai ?

    (The b/w of the pic threw me - it looked like holden and the only other bw one he was in as a prisoner was Stalag 17)

    Btw I watched a documentary about 'Bridge on the river kwai' recently where the men who were there disputed most of the content of that movie !
